LANESPLITTER SKIRT

Ravelry can’t be wrong with over 3800 project; this knitted beauty is a knitter’s staple. The flattering diagonal stripes in knit and purl are created using either a long repeat yarn (Noro) or 2 or more solid colors. [Checkout all the varieties on Ravelry.] This skirt looks great on all figures.

Learn increasing, decreasing, seaming, picking up stitches, and shaping tips and tricks. 

BUILDING BLOCKS SESSION 2

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner- must have been in session 1

This blanket is a fun, interesting and rewarding project. The pattern for the class is found in the booklet called Building Blocks by Michelle Hunter which is available in the shop. It includes the patterns for 12 blocks, each made with different stitch patterns, which will then be sewn together to make a blanket.

In this first session of the class we will make 6 blocks, and in the next 6-class session, we will make the final 6 blocks. The stitch patterns will give you a great introduction to many different skills, which you can then put to good use in future projects!

Techniques include: simple chart reading, cables, simple lace, increases, decreases, bobbles and more!

LEARN TO KNIT

This class will cover the basics of learning to knit. You’ll learn how to cast on, knit and purl, read a pattern, bind off and sew a simple seam while making cotton washcloths and fingerless mitts.
This is great way to begin your knitting adventure!

CABLED HEADBAND

This cute and warm headband will knit up quickly in super bulky yarn. It’s the perfect next project for beginner knitters or for someone who just wants instant gratification! It has been adapted from a free pattern found on Ravelry.

Skills you’ll learn include cables, a provisional cast-on and a 3-needle bind off to add to your knitting experience. This is a quick knit and it’s a perfect item to make for yourself and every woman you know!!

BASIC SOCKS

This is a class to teach you how to knit traditional, basic top-down socks. The pattern from Churchmouse Yarns is written for 2 gauges, and will fit a medium adult foot. You’ll be making these socks using 2 circular needles in either fingering or DK/sport weight yarn.

You’ll learn how to knit in the round using 2 circular needles, knit a traditional heel flap, turn a short-row heel, pick up and shape a gusset and finish off a shaped toe with the Kitchener stitch. Lots of techniques packed into a little sock!

Techniques include: knitting in the round with 2 circular needles, short rows, picking up stitches, decreasing, Kitchener stitch.

YANKEE KNITTER BABY CARDIGAN

Pattern: #31 Yankee Knitter Baby Cardigan

This sweet little cardigan could be your first sweater! The nice thing about knitting a baby sweater is that you learn all the techniques in a small size so the project will be finished quickly and the sizing isn’t as critical. It’s knitted top down and the sleeves knitted flat so there are 2 simple seams at the end. You can add stripes or make it in a solid color for a lucky baby!

This is a lovely cardigan designed by Isabell Kraemer. It is knitted seamlessly top-down and the sizes range from XS – XXL. The fronts have nice lace and moss stitch panels and the sleeves and back are in stockinette stitch.

Techniques include: traditional raglan top-down shaping, picking up stitches for sleeves and button bands, knitting in the round with 2 circular needles, chart reading.

POCKET BUDDIES

These little dolls are adorable! They will be a quick knit – you’ll want to make a whole group! They can be customized and personalized so your creativity will know no bounds. They are knitted flat with one simple seam up the back and then “dressed” with a variety of accessories. These are sure to delight any child and will help keep them away from screens!

Techniques include: seaming, simple embroidery, and the possibility for cables and color work.

BEGINNER CROCHET

Learn Tunisian crochet! Carolyn will teach us different stitches to make this beautiful cowl she designed for the class! Worked flat. Designed in 4 colors.

This light as air crocheted shawl is created using 3 granny square designs in 3 different sizes using a multitude of colors and trimmed in wind-catching mini tassels. The shawl can be made in either mohair or fingering yarn, Purchase mohair in 3 different colors - then add other snippets of color. Pattern will be available for purchase on Ravelry in September 2023.
