Designed by local designer Jennifer Weissman, Tilted Texture is a reversible wrap that is created by knitting bands of different stitch patterns. The piece begins at one point and gradually grows into a right triangle. While increasing stitches, you will knit a variety of textured patterns (charted and written), thus keeping the process interesting. “When Tilted Texture is worn, its lines are tilted on the diagonal, creating a lovely eye-catching effect (and making it look more complicated than it really is).

Although the pattern is written for fingering-weight yarn, sport or even dk-weight yarn on larger needles would be beautiful, too. Just allow yourself extra yardage and expect your shawl to be larger in size.”

Techniques include: chart reading, increasing
